I was born in San Jose and grew up in Campbell. My parents still live in the same house that I grew up in. I've been married to Bret, who many of you know from my Tuesday night cycle class, for 29 years (remember the “Cruise Countdown”???). Bret has retired from 26 years in the sheet metal trade. We have 2 kids, Shannon 27, a professional chef and Travis 25, also in the sheet metal union. Our other 2 "children" are beagles named Liberty and Maximillian also known as Princess Laboobala and Millie Bean.

I was a personal trainer for many years and have taught group exercise classes since 1986. I also worked at Wildwood Veterinary Hospital for several years and loved being around the animals and learning about their fascinating world.

I love to be in, around, and near the water and have been water skiing since I could walk. Other water activites Bret and I enjoy include canoeing, riding the rapids, kayaking, and surfing.

Bret and I share a love of the outdoors and activites such as snowmobiling, spelunking through Middle Earth; parasailing, and four-wheeling, to name a few. Speaking of four wheelin, we belong to two 4-wheel drive clubs and along with friends, Jeff, Jeannine, Keith and Toni started a non-profit coalition dedicated to the preservation of the our adopt-a-trail called the Friends of Fordyce.

We also hike trails such as Slickrock and the 26 miles we did on the Fordyce Creek Trail proved to be exhilarating and challenging as we managed to finish it in one day. And though the trail leading to and from Half Dome was relaxing and beautiful the climb up and down the cables was terrifying.

We like to spend as much time as possible riding our Harley Davidson motorcycle that is Bret's labor of love. His "dream bike" that he built from scratch took 5 years to complete and was well worth the wait. Additionally, Bret and I share a passion for outdoor bicycling. We try to ride several organized rides throughout the year and participate in the Lance Armstrong Foundation's Livestrong Challenge for the fight against cancer every year.

We have settled into our new home in the Sierra Foothills and are enjoying the peace and relaxation of living in the mountains.
